Me Mudder

Yesterday I enjoyed a fabulous Mothers Day! In the morning it started off with Loren handing me an envelope. In the envelope was a sweet note followed by a poem. This poem was given to his Great Grandmother from his Great Grandfather on the day his Grandfather was born. They are not sure if he wrote it or not but it still has a lot of meaning. This poem shows the true side of the Nielsens. This gang has an incredible sense of humor and it goes way back! Here is the peom that Loren had his Dad find so that he could give it to me on behalf of my kids:)

Me Mudder

When my prayers were poorly said,
Who tucked me in my little bed,
And spanked my bum til it was red,
Me Mudder-

Who lifted me from cozy cot,
And put me on the ice cold pot,
And made me pee if I could not,
Me Mudder-

And when the morning light had come,
And in my crib Id dribbled some,
Who wiped my tiny little bum!,
Me Mudder-

Who did my hair so neatly part,
And press me gentley to her heart,
And sometimes squeezzed me till Id fart!
Me Mudder-

Who looked at me with eyebrows knit,
When in my drawers appeared some S*IT,
Who said to me get up and get,
Me Mudder

Isnt that funny? It was the perfect start to a perfect day. Even Rowie got a kick out of it and laughed along. He definitly has the Nielsen humor.

After breakfast I wanted to go on a walk. The kids stayed in there PJ's and we walked around the lake. The lake is so beautiful and the landscaping is breath taking. Daybreak has really done alot with it. Its about 3 miles all the way around and it makes for a perfect walk. After our walk we went to church and then headed out to G ville for a barbeque. The company and weather was wonderful and we all enjoyed ourselves. While we were there we all got talking about our Hawaii trip and are all getting anxious! We leave in one month! Oh...I just cant wait and I think about it everyday! Cant June just get here already!
Heres a few pics of the kids on Mothers Day! I hope all of you Mothers had a wonderful day as well!

Me Mudder is totally my Dad's side all the way! I never knew the full story but I know that poem. I had to share it with Ben. He thought it was pretty cute!
